A securities class action has been filed against Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. (LYV) on behalf of persons and entities that purchased or otherwise acquired Live Nation securities between February 23, 2022 through July 28, 2023.  This case has been filed in the USDC – C.D.CA.

The complant alleges that the company issued false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose information pertinent to investors. Live Nation is the subject of a report published by Politico on July 28, 2023. The report claims that the DOJ “could file an antitrust lawsuit against concert promoter Live Nation Entertainment and its subsidiary Ticketmaster by the end of the year, according to three people with knowledge of the matter.” The report adds that the DOJ will allege that “the entertainment giant is abusing its power over the live music industry.” Based on this news, shares of Live Nation fell by 7.8% on the same day.
