AMGEN INC. – DATA BREACH

Scott+Scott Attorneys at Law LLP, a leading consumer protection litigation firm, is investigating Amgen Inc. ("Amgen"), a California-based biopharmaceutical company, for its failure to protect the personal and health information of patients and individuals whose data was entrusted to the company, resulting in a cybersecurity incident (the "Data Breach") discovered in July 2026. On or around July 31, 2026, Amgen disclosed the breach in a Form 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Amgen has not yet disclosed the number of individuals affected.

According to Amgen’s SEC filing, in July 2026, the company identified unauthorized activity involving data stored in cloud environments hosted by third-party cloud service providers. The company has since confirmed that some of its data, including proprietary data, patient protected health information ("PHI"), and other personal information, was exfiltrated from those cloud environments.
