Scott+Scott appointed Co-Lead Counsel in Antitrust Class Action Against Leading HVAC Manufacturers
NEW YORK — Scott+Scott has recently been appointed Co-Lead Counsel in an antitrust class action filed on behalf of HVAC businesses against the leading HVAC manufacturers in the United States, including Lennox, Trane, Carrier, Daikin, Bosch, Rheem, and others.
The lawsuit, first filed in April 2026 in the United States District Court Eastern District of Michigan, seeks damages for businesses harmed by HVAC manufacturers’ alleged agreement to fix HVAC equipment prices. According to the complaint, since at least 2020, the defendants agreed to manipulate the prices of HVAC equipment and, as a result, generated record profit margins while forcing HVAC contractors and dealers to pay inflated prices.
