Scott+Scott Attorneys at Law LLP, an international consumer protection litigation firm, is investigating WellLife Network Inc. for failure to protect customers’ personal data. WellLife, a behavioral health provider, suffered a significant data breach that exposed the private information of at least eleven million people. The potentially compromised information includes customers’ names, addresses, birth and marriage information, governmental IDs including social security numbers, EINs, and passport information, medical and health records, digital signatures, maiden names, financial information, and biometric data.
Despite knowledge of the breach for more than a year, WellLife failed to inform customers and authorities of the cyber-attack until August of 2024.
