The settlement resolves the class action lawsuit Carl Barrett et al. v. Apple Inc. and Apple Value Services, LLC filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and centers on allegations that Apple refused to provide refunds to customers who were tricked by third-party scammers into purchasing AppStore and iTunes gift cards.
