
Bio
Fatima Brizuela is a Partner at Scott+Scott’s San Diego office where she litigates complex class actions with a focus on antitrust and competition law. She plays a leading role in researching and developing new cases, identifying cutting-edge legal theories, and positioning the firm at the forefront of emerging issues.
Currently, Fatima runs the day-to-day operations of one of the most important and novel antitrust cases in the country, involving RealPage’s algorithmic price-fixing scheme in In re RealPage, Inc., Rental Software Antitrust Litigation, No. 3:23-md-03071 (M.D. Tenn.). This landmark litigation sits at the intersection of antitrust law and modern technology, testing the legal boundaries of algorithmic coordination and the use of AI in pricing. Her work in this case not only drives forward a major class action but also contributes to shaping the future of antitrust enforcement in the era of artificial intelligence.
Fatima also leads teams through all phases of litigation, from discovery to expert work and trial preparation, and works closely with economists and industry experts to build compelling, data-driven cases.
