BIO:

Mr. Huffman is a partner in the Firm’s San Diego office and is part of shareholder derivative and corporate governance practice group.

Mr. Huffman is a seasoned litigator with significant trial experience and a proven track record of achieving unprecedented results in stockholder class and derivative actions.

For example, Max was a member of the trial team for In re Dole Food Co., Inc. S’holder Litig., where the Delaware Court of Chancery awarded over $148 million in damages, making it the largest post-trial judgment ever in a merger-related class action.  Most recently, Max was a member of the trial team in In re Tesla Motors, Inc. S’holder Litig., where he went to trial in July 2021 on claims against CEO Elon Musk in connection with the company’s contested acquisition of SolarCity Corp—a decision against Musk is pending.  Prior to trial, Max and his team obtained a $60 million partial settlement against Tesla’s outside directors.  Over the last decade, Max’s cases have resulted in more than $350 million in stockholder recoveries and corporate restitution.
