Power Cables Cartel

In April 2014 the European Commission established that the power cable suppliers had participated in a worldwide cartel (only excluding the United States) which involved price fixing, cover bid arrangements and the exchange of commercially sensitive information. The Commission’s findings have been confirmed by the highest EU court.
The four power grid operators purchased for more than EUR 1.8 billion of products and services affected by the cartel. On behalf of the power grid operators, Scott+Scott claims compensation from the power cable suppliers for the inflated prices paid as a result of the cartel.
