Scott+Scott Bolsters Securities Litigation Practice

NEW YORK — Scott+Scott has strategically expanded its Securities Litigation Practice Group by adding former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission attorney Karolina Klyuchnikova to its New York team.

Ms. Klyuchnikova served as Enforcement Counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, where she investigated and litigated violations of federal securities laws, such as fraud, insider trading, market manipulation, and material misrepresentations.

Throughout her career, Ms. Klyuchnikova has made thousands of court appearances over a range of issues including motion practice, trials, and hearings.  Ms. Klyuchnikova is a zealous advocate and brings a thorough and strategic approach to litigation.

She is the recipient of the SEC Staff Excellence Award, the SEC Chair’s Award for Excellence, the FinCEN Director’s Law Enforcement Award, and the FBI U.S. Attorney’s Office Service Award.

“I’m excited to have joined Scott+Scott to continue holding wrongdoers accountable, and to put money back into the hands of investors. I will not waver in the fight to maintain the safety, efficiency, and integrity of the securities markets,” Karolina Klyuchnikova said.

“Karolina brings a wealth of experience to our Firm. She has an impressive background not only in government service, but also in litigating complex securities cases. We are delighted to welcome her to the Firm as we continue the strategic expansion of our Securities Litigation Practice Group,” Managing Partner David Scott said.

Earlier this month, Scott+Scott’s Securities Litigation Practice Group was ranked by Legal 500 for its outstanding contributions in complex dispute resolution. Lawdragon also named several Scott+Scott partners as being among the 500 Leading Financial Lawyers.
