UK Panel on Collective Competition Claims
Scott+Scott Partners Hannah Wright Jones and Cian Mansfield will be featured speakers at the panel titled “Has the Hanover Shoe dropped? The implications of the interchange pass-on judgment for indirect, consumer and collective competition claims.” The panel will discuss the Trial 2 pass-on judgment in the Interchange proceedings, in which each of the firms on the panel were involved, the clarification of the test for causation in establishing pass-on, and its ramifications for multi-level supply chain and consumer claims.

$5.5 Million Settlement Secured in Pharmaceutical Litigation
Scott+Scott, along with co-counsel, have obtained preliminary approval of a $5.5 million settlement against defendants Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc., Granules Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Heritage Pharmaceuticals, Inc in a long running litigation pending in the United States District Court, District of New Jersey. The plaintiffs alleged that the defendants marketed and sold generic metformin that were contaminated with N-nitrosodimethylamine (“NDMA”), and that this metformin was not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and could not be sold to the public.
